Congrats. I wonder if it was my refereeing that swung it :D
Thank you by the way. I meant to email you about it but they were too hot off the mark. Yay.
I think also the interviewer being a cat person helped. We talked about cats.
I had Dr Pat Mauger at uni and she was very good.
She is great. She's nice AND good at her job which is sadly a rare thing.
That's brilliant - congrats! It'll be lovely to have you working nearby. What are you doing for them?
Timetabling, managing supervisors, various other make sure people have room + supervisor + exam sheets type stuff. Also organizing external exams and such. Probably sounds dull to a normal non-organizer type person but very much my cup of earl grey with lemon.
Sounds very suited to your abilities.
We should definitely take advantage of this to have tea, coffee or hot chocolate. :)
As someone who also enjoys organising, I say congratulations on getting a cool job :)
*squee* yay for you!
Also yes we should have tea soon, I miss you, it's been ages since we sat down for a proper chat!
We're having a spur of the moment long island iced tea night here tonight if you and Kim would like to join us? Providing we manage to find some triple sec...
Oooo... we may have triple sec... if not don't you live across the road from a liquor store? Cheap triple sec is fine for strong cocktails and the place next to the stationers have some VERY cheap triple sec... not that I, um, know the shelf content of most central Auckland liquor stores or anything... um... hmmm...
Hey working for the Uni is sweet!
We have a little bit to do with Examinations so I'll keep a look out for ya :>
Best thing about the uni is they pay real well and most of people working with ya are fellow academic types
That is true. I think part of the reason I got the job is because I got on well with the interviewer and have a similar degree to most of the department which will be really nice. Also access to the staff training programs will be cool - it is meant to be one of the best in the world apparently. I'll be joining AUS and I might even join the SCR just because I love that building - we'll see.
Are you in the Clock Tower? The new buildings and renovations mean nothing is where it was when I was an undergrad. I will be in the Clock Tower apart from during Exams when I'll be helping take over Commerce A.
Nar sadly we are down on lvl 3 of the HSB building, moved out of the clock tower about 2-3? years ago...before my time :)
Congrats hun! Thats awesome news.
I shall keep an eye out for you round Campus too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
[And thanks for leaving the R Records job for me ;)]
Hey! Congratulations! I hope you enjoy your new job!
